Academics
Most students bring an existing online degree or course. If you're not enrolled yet, we help you choose and enrol in an accredited online university before you arrive.
If your programme is online or remote-friendly, yes — you're simply studying from a different location. We recommend confirming any attendance or exam requirements with your university first.
The study space is open 24/7 with fibre wifi and quiet rooms, so a 2am exam for a European university is completely manageable.
Visa & legal
Every student comes on a Thai Education Visa, unlocked by your in-person course (Thai, Mandarin or Muay Thai).
Your choice of 60 Thai or Mandarin language lessons or 36 Muay Thai lessons, school enrolment and all visa document preparation are already part of your VOYO package at the same price. The only visa cost paid separately is the Thai government fee — currently around €53 per extension, if you are staying longer than 3 months.
Yes, comprehensive travel and health insurance is required. We can recommend student-friendly providers from around €47 per month.
Money
Your room (dorm as standard, or a single room as a top-up), housekeeping, the co-study workspace, your choice of 60 Thai or Mandarin language lessons or 36 Muay Thai lessons, Education Visa facilitation, gym and pool access, and the weekly community programme. Flights, meals and online tuition are extra.
One month's payment secures your place and is credited against your first month. No separate damage deposit for standard rooms.
Most students spend €160–320 per month on food, transport and fun on top of their package — far less than most European, North American or South African student cities.
Safety & parents
Rawai is a quiet, residential area popular with families and long-stay expats. The property has 24/7 reception and security, and a VOYO team member is always reachable.
Absolutely. We offer family calls before you commit, and can help visiting parents explore nearby accommodation options.
The on-site team coordinates with local clinics and hospitals (Phuket has excellent international hospitals), contacts family, and assists with insurance claims.
